Instructor Requirements

Code requirement	One certified manager is required per facility - Requirements can vary per local jurisdiction

Hours of Instruction	No training required for certification. In order to get recertification, passing a food safety exam has to be achieved.

Certification Renewal	Every 5 years

Miscellaneous	For reciprocity, managers must take a recertification course. Some jurisdictions require an additional fee to obtain a TX State certification card. In some jurisdictions, one must obtain a city certification card in addition to the state card for additional fee.
