Jurisdiction Massachusetts Servsafe approval The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination is approved in the state (Print, CD-ROM, on-line exam with a proctor) Certification Fee None. Instructor Requirements Registered ServSafe Instructor Code requirement Mandatory manager certification. At least one certificed manager is required per facility. Local jurisdictions have the authority to exceed the state's minimum requirements. (105 CMR 590.000). Requires all food service establishments to have manager staff certified by a food allergy training program recognized by Health department no later than Feburary 1, 2011. Hours of Instruction Training requirements vary per local jurisdiction for certification and recertification.
