A food handler is defined by law as a person who works in a food facility and performs any duties that involve the preparation, storage or service of food in a food facility.
Due to recent changes to the law, the ServSafe San Diego County Food Handler Online Program is in process of being approved. Please click here to sign up to be notified when the program becomes available. (Effective August, 2014) Riverside and San Bernardino counties have existing local food handler requirement and are not affected by the state law.
