food safety showdown!

The Food Safety Showdown! game provides a fun way to review and reinforce key learning. The Food Safety Showdown! reviews key concepts by having teams battle in a game-show format to show food safety mastery. Both printable and interactive versions of the game are available.

Two versions of Food Safety Showdown! are available for both the printable and interactive games. Each version contains the same categories but has different questions. Refer to the Food Safety Showdown! User Guide for instructions on how to set up and play the game. The length is approximately 45 minutes to one hour.

The Match Game icebreaker is designed to engage your audience and energize the class using food safety concepts.

Use the Practice Test during class as a quiz or learning exercise to measure learners’ levels of comprehension.

The Case Studies are supplemental food safety–related stories that can be used to demonstrate that foodborne-illness outbreaks can occur through simple mistakes.
