The ServSafe Manager Online Course has been significantly updated to reflect the latest changes in the content blueprint and the Supplement to the 2022 FDA Food Code. These updates emphasize both regulatory compliance and practical, real-world application. Key enhancements include:
Clearer Definitions and Guidance: Expanded focus on food safety management systems, active managerial control, and the Seven HACCP Principles. New content supports building a strong food safety culture and conducting effective self-inspections.
Expanded Training and Defense Content: More detailed coverage of employee training, regulatory inspections, and food defense strategies.
Updated Holding and Refilling Guidelines: Revised requirements for holding food without temperature control and for refilling returnable containers.
Allergen Awareness and Cross-Contact Protocols: New emphasis on posting written allergen notifications and taking corrective actions when cross-contact occurs.
Facilities and Equipment Standards: Greater focus on plan reviews, valid operating permits, and equipment replacement. Also includes updated guidance on pest control, animals on premises, restrooms, and waste disposal.

This interactive course has been designed using the latest techniques in learning theory, to deliver current food safety information, in a fun and easy-to-use format. The course covers critical principles including: personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature, cleaning and sanitizing, and more. A practice exam is included at the end of the course to help prepare for the proctored ServSafe Manager Exam.
All purchases of the ServSafe Manager Online Course are final. Once you begin the course, you will have 90 days to complete it, at which time the course will be deactivated.
The purchase of an “Exam Access Code” is a unique, one-time use number which the examinee must enter into the computer to access the exam. Only Registered ServSafe Instructors or Proctors may administer the ServSafe Online Exam. Either proctors or examinees may purchase Exam Access Codes. Purchased Exam Access Codes will be emailed directly to the purchaser’s email address.
Failed exams: If you do not pass your exam, you may schedule another exam following our Retesting policy. You must purchase another exam access code.
Retesting policy: Our retesting policy states an examinee may take the exam the first two times within a 30-day period, if necessary. If three or more attempts are required, the examinee must wait at least 60 days from their last attempt. No more than four attempts are allowed in a 12-month period.
