Individuals interested in teaching the ServSafe Manager’s Course and administering the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination can choose to become one of three roles. To learn more about each role and how to apply, select the one you’re interested in below. Dual Role (Instructor and Proctor) Registered Proctor Certified Instructor

Registered ServSafe Proctors can order exam booklets online using the Schedule Exam Sessions link under the Instructors/Proctors tab. You will use the Schedule Exam Sessions link to order exam booklets and schedule online exams. If you are not able to schedule the exam session online, Registered ServSafe Proctors can also print and submit the Exam Request Form to the Service Center for processing.

You must first purchase the online course in order to assign it. You can assign online courses three ways:

• By Email Address
• By ServSafe User ID
• By creating and giving a student a course key

To assign courses, go to Course Activities on Course Management, select the course that you want to assign online courses for, and go to the Assign Courses tab under Management Options.

Each student will need a ServSafe Exam Answer Sheet or a ServSafe Exam Access Code to take the ServSafe Manager Certification Examination. Exam Answer Sheets can be purchased separately or with a textbook. An Exam Access Code is a unique code that verifies you have purchased an online exam and allows access to take the online exam. These can be purchased and then provided to the examinee prior to taking the exam. Each Exam Answer Sheet and Exam Access Code can only be used once. You can purchase these products in the Product Catalog:

• Exam Answer Sheet for a print exam.
• Exam Access Code for an online exam.
