Certification process

Certificate-holders may refer to their certificate as a “ServSafe Food Handler Certificate” or “ServSafe California Food Handler Certificate”. Certificate-holders may say they are “ServSafe Food Handler Certificate Recipients.” Certificate-holders and instructors may not portray (or imply) themselves as being “certified,” “certificated,” “licensed,” “registered,” or “accredited” by the Association. 
 
Certificates may not be tampered with, and text or logos may not be added to them, without express written permission from the National Restaurant Association.
